Shirox

Simkl comes to Shirox. Sign in with Simkl in Settings and keep it in step with AniList and MyAnimeList: pick which services your edits are mirrored to, or run a one-off Overwrite or Mirror sync. Simkl brings shows and movies, not just anime. The Library has a Simkl list with Anime, Shows and Movies, search adds more, and show and movie pages share the anime page's layout, with a tick for each episode or watched up to by season. Shows and movies play through your modules with the module picker, and what you finish is marked on Simkl and lands in Continue Watching.

Simkl can also be the source for Home and Search: Trending, Top Rated, New Premieres, Airing Today and Coming Soon, the most watched by type, period and genre, and one search across anime, shows and movies. Episodes are tracked on Simkl as you finish them, rewatches are counted properly, and anime that AniList and MyAnimeList don't have now shows up and opens on its Simkl page. Simkl allows 500 requests a day; Shirox counts them, keeps the last 100 for what you do yourself, and shows today's count in Settings.

Tracking Links let you tie any show to its AniList, MyAnimeList or Simkl entry by typing an ID or pasting a link, and pick which season a module page is. Progress follows those links, they're included in backups along with AniList matches, and progress can now be typed as well as stepped.

Seanime manga and streaming providers install as modules from their manifest.json link, with Sub or Dub per provider and a badge in Modules. Providers that send no posters get the poster, banner and synopsis from AniList, in search results too. Torrent providers aren't supported. Pasting the wrong link into Add Module now says what it is and which link to use instead, and adult modules can't be added; any already installed are removed.

Many more titles show their logo, in a language you can read, including Simkl shows and movies. Pull to refresh drops a gooey bead from the Dynamic Island on every screen, the manga reader turns pages with Apple Books' page curl (right to left too), the Home carousel's parallax is back, subtitles are a quick menu like playback speed, and Settings is grouped into four folders.

Fixes: tracking no longer wipes your AniList or MyAnimeList score when it updates progress, a rewatching or completed show is no longer reset when its entry can't be read, there's no gap above the artwork when pulling down on a detail page, and the player's and reader's glass controls keep one look in light and dark mode. For module developers, fetchv2 can now impersonate Safari, Chrome or Firefox, or fetch through a WebView with the site's cookies (thanks to 50n50).
