What's new in 0.1.0
GalaxyPad Preview 4 (build 7168) adds mobile motion aiming and ride controls for iPhone and iPad.
• Gyro cursor: Controls → Gyro Cursor → This Device or Controller. Includes sensitivity, vertical inversion, and recentering; right-stick click also recenters. Defaults to Off. Controller motion depends on support exposed by iOS/iPadOS.
• Ride stick modes: Controls → Stick Mode → Ray Surfing or Star Ball. Works with the controller left stick or touch movement stick. Ray: hold A to accelerate, Spin to jump. Star Ball: A to jump. Return to Normal after a ride.
• Keeps Preview 3's WBFS importer, simplified Plus control, Game Mode metadata, and runtime/audio refinements.
This is an experimental controls update. Mode switching is manual; gyro ride steering is not included. Physical gyro feel and completion of the affected ride missions still need player validation. No new FPS improvement is claimed.
The native build was installed and launched in place on the owner's iPad. All 36 save/configuration/preference files matched after installation; save and preference bytes also matched after launch (only play-time records changed). Automated sensor tests use synthetic samples and do not establish physical-controller acceptance.
Install: download the IPA below and sign it with your own Apple account. Back up data, keep the same signing identity/bundle ID, and update in place; do not uninstall. Supply the supported USA RMGE01 revision 0 game image. No game image, extracted assets, saves or personal provisioning are included. The generated AOT game-code module is included. macOS Preview 1 is unchanged.
About
GalaxyPad:
Super Mario Galaxy on iPhone, iPad, and Apple silicon Mac through ahead-of-time recompilation. GalaxyPad is an experimental Apple app with Metal rendering, touch controls, and controller support. It started as a personal experiment and has continued to grow.
The game's PowerPC code is recompiled ahead of time into native ARM64 code; the Dolphin-derived runtime supplies graphics, audio, and other Wii hardware behavior. You supply your own supported game image; GalaxyPad does not download or include it.
Built with ModernGekko, by Hyperway, ExpansionPak and contributors, and DolRecomp, on the RecompCore / Dolphin runtime. See full credits, including the SunPad Apple integration this project builds on.
